Predators of the Heart Sanctuary in the US state of Washington provides such an opportunity.
In the Predators of the Heart Reserve, you can go on a forest excursion with wolves.
Wolves are very friendly. Collars are worn only for photo shoots.
They can be ironed and scratch.
The reserve contains only animals that cannot survive in the wild.
Wild wolves do not show any friendliness towards people, but here the animals are well-bred.
The reserve is located on an island between Seattle and Vancouver.
It just won't work to come here.
It is necessary to book an excursion in advance.
Cost is about $200 per person.
Usually there are 2 excursions per day, 6 days a week (Sundays are closed).
But the waiting list is quite long.
Unfortunately , petting wolves is only allowed for persons over 18 years old.
During the entire existence of the reserve, there were only two accidents: once the wolves tore apart a dog that accidentally wandered into the territory; on another occasion, the wolf ran away to the neighbor's plot.
Predators of the Heart have been operating since 1998.
The territory of the reserve is 4 hectares.
“Our goal is to educate children about nature and teach them to respect all living beings”, – it is said on the website of the reserve.
There are other animals in the reserve – cougars, birds and rescued wild animals.
