But he did not silently and humbly wait for people to turn to attention and take him to their home.
So a year has passed. Each time it was very touching to watch how men and women held the animal's paw in their hands and looked into its devoted eyes. And when they found out that the reason Ray got into the shelter was the cruel owner, starving him, and then throwing him out into the street, they were sincerely amazed that the dog did not get angry at people.

The animal, out of habit, ran up to the fence, looked into the eyes of a person and extended its paw. The man could not tear himself away from the dog. He suddenly realized that he would never forgive himself if he did not take the dog home.
So Ray and Jerome found each other and became true friends. Today, in the family, men consider the dog to be the main thing. And the owner of the dog does not understand how people could pass near Ray's enclosure and leave him at the shelter. For a man, this still does not fit in his head.
