City officials in Amarillo, Texas, are perplexed by the latest zoo surveillance footage. At night, the cameras captured a very strange creature resembling a mixture of humans and animals. Having no idea what it was, they decided to look for answers on social media.

Unidentified object captured by monitoring

Is is a man in a strange hat who likes to walk at night? Chupacabra? Does anyone have any idea what this unidentified object is? – wrote @CityofAmarillo on Twitter.

The people of Amarillo quickly began to give amusing answers. One user joked that it might be a skinwalker – an Indian mythological shape-shifter.

Others suggested that it might be a cartoon character “Dora the Explorer” or “Lightning Fast”. One of the wearers joked that the half-animal was actually a rebel Jacob Chansley, who made his way through the Capitol in a furry headdress with horns and an American flag painted on his face.

Director of the Parks Department and Recreation in Amarillo, Michael Kaszuba, said that the zoo found a surprising image quite by accident, while reviewing the latest surveillance footage. The creature walked near the park, which is in Thompson Park, at 1.25 a.m.

This is a kind of anomaly and a very special picture. I think it is exciting to be interested in something like this. For us, of course, this is beyond the norm. Usually in the surveillance footage we see our animals moving around the exhibits and the like. – Michael Kaszuba admitted.

DailyMail.com contacted the Amarillo Parks and Recreation Department for comments on the matter.
