Desperately Exhausted Dog With Jar On Head Laid Down & Started To Suffocate

A rescue group received a call about an injured stray wandering around a nearby area. This wasn’t the typical call. The stray dog didn’t just need to be rescued to get off the streets. He needed to be rescued or he wouldn’t survive. The stray had a jar stuck on his head, making eating and drinking an impossibility. The poor dog could hardly breathe!

Rescuers tried to capture the pup but he continued to run until he hid beneath a bridge, and laid down out of breath. The animal rescuers felt they had no choice but to use a humane tranquilizer dart on the pup. After he was shot by the dart, he ran off again, but this time onto a busy street. Cars whizzed by, honking their horns. The rescuers ran after him. When the anesthesia kicked in, the tired dog laid down and waited for help.

Finally, the dog was picked up carefully and the jar was removed from his head using a special tool. The dog was sedated and very drowsy, but he still managed to show his rescuers his gratitude with some kisses. The dog, now in good hands, was put into their vehicle. They brought him back to the animal shelter. He was thrilled to have a real meal and a bowl of fresh water. The rescue group posted his story onto social media and adopters lined up to meet him. He found a forever home within a few days!

The follow-up story is of another dog in a similar situation. Stray animals are so desperate to find food that getting their heads caught in a jar is not that out of the ordinary. It’s heartbreaking, to say the least. This poor dog had been wandering around with his head caught inside a plastic jug for more than two weeks!

The rescue group also had to chase him down, after he ran away from them repeatedly. Luckily they managed to corner him in a large field. He finally surrendered to the kind humans, knowing he had little energy left. They also used a special too and freed him from the jar. He is now safe and back at their shelter. We are so grateful both dogs are safe! To see more, scroll down to the video.
