This is the story of River, a horse that was found and rescued by César García and his little one, while they were both taking a walk near Grayson Road, in Modesto, California, United States.

The poor animal was in terrible condition lying on the ground, left to its own devices by some unscrupulous and ruthless being. According to witnesses, there was nothing clear about the history of the quadruped. They only caught a glimpse of a trailer full of horses, pulled by a dark-colored truck, followed by a gray minivan.

The equine had several open wounds on his body and he looked truly distressed, so Garcia immediately called the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department to report the situation and, within minutes, several officers were present at the site to help the unfortunate victim.

The person in charge was nowhere to be seen, however, someone heard the story and immediately called Bobbie Carne, who has been helping and rescuing animals of all kinds for 20 years.

It is typical for me to receive these types of calls when someone finds out about an animal in need. I’ve done a lot of rescues and I’ve seen some horrible things done to animals, so it’s not that much of a surprise to me anymore, Carne said.

Despite his experience, Carne could not believe what he saw. The condition the animal was in was truly amazing. His face and side showed signs of having been tied up and dragged by whoever brought him there.

I was really almost at that point of no return. The horse was in a severe state when it arrived here and the blood test showed that it had been experiencing a prolonged state of hunger, added the rescuer.

Dressed in pajamas, Carne joined the agents in the park and they began to devise a plan to be able to give him the help that River needed. Another man who became aware of the situation returned to the scene with a double-wide trailer and together they were able to get River to his feet, load him onto the trailer and transport him to Taylor Veterinary Hospital in Turlock.

Dr. Rebecca Curry was in charge of treating River’s wounds, medicating and nurturing him at a constant but balanced rate, since feeding him too quickly could cause the animal to go into shock.

The story was shared by both Carne and García on their social media accounts, prompting thousands of displays of support from users. In fact, for Riverbank’s Bryen Camden, the reaction was a determination: to give River a better life.

Horse has recovered little by little miraculously

Upon viewing the post, the woman who already has two rescued horses approached Carne and told him that she would take care of River once he got out of veterinary care.

For his part, Camden decided to keep the River name, but added Maximus, to show the inner strength that the horse has shown so far.

Fortunately, thanks to García’s complaint and the prompt response of the authorities, River managed to recover and now he looks strong, his fur shines and he looks very happy in his new home.

He was only 14 years old when he spent his whole life in harsh conditions. But now all he can think about is how much better his golden years could have been.

When he arrived at the veterinary clinic, they gave him a diagnosis. Unfortunately, his malnutrition is serious, and he will have to go through a lengthy treatment before he can find a new home.

The Foundation said in a recent update:

“Dr. Claudia Paris examined Paul at the Happy Pet Veterinary Clinic. He was carefully checked out, and tests were performed, the results of which I have included. Paul suffers from acute malnutrition, anemia, and hypoalbuminemia. All of this is the result of poor diet and neglect. He is now at the Foundation, where he will remain for as long as necessary to complete his rehabilitation.”

It’s only a matter of time before Paul is fully recovered. We are confident that you will overcome this challenge and have plenty of strength and love to share to those who want to give you a new and better life. Blue lived with a family in California for about a year, but when the family moved, they decided to not take Blue with them.

Blue was surrendered to Carlson Shelter in California, a shelter known as a high-kill facility.

He was so emotional he did what anyone else would have done: break down in tears. The volunteers tried to offer him a treat or even just to smile, but he was so overwhelmed with the emotion of what was going on, all he could do was cry. Some say the photographs show tears dripping from potential allergies, but I think we all know how tears ended up on this beautiful Pitbull’s face.

Thankfully, volunteers from Saving Carson Shelter Dogs decided to help him by posting the video on the bottom of the article across Social media. The video was created and succeeded to gain attention in hopes that someone would take Blue home and give him a forever home!

You can see from the video that these great people were just trying to lend a hand. All Blue was looking for was help and a friend to spend the rest of his life with.

Blue ended up being best friends with Jennifer McKay. Jennifer visited not once, not twice, but three times, and took him home on the third time!

“He looked very sad and depressed,” McKay told The Dodo. “You could tell that every time someone walked by, it was like he was looking for them [the owners],” she said. “It’s like he knew he had been left there.” However when McKay visited a third time, Blue perked up and went straight to his future owner!

Ever since Blue has been out of the kennel and into a home, he has been a brand new dog. As soon as Blue got to his new home, he received a bath and was taken for a walk, and made himself right at home sleeping on the living room couch. When he’s not sleeping or riding in the car with the windows down, his favorite thing is looking at himself in the mirror.

Blue can now move ahead with his life, knowing he is in good hands.

It was obvious that it was a wanderer. However, the man was taken aback by the fact that the dog was carrying a parcel between its teeth. As a result, they walked hand in hand till the man returned home. Ivan incontinently started about preparing his own food at home, despite the fact that he was practically starving. He peeked out the window at this point and noticed the same canine that had been following him all the way under his window. It has a depressing appearance.

The man assumed the dog was indeed hungry, so he grabbed the chain and chuck and fed the poor creature.

Ivan decided to peek at Siru’s Gerst from outside the window. The dog, to his amazement, put all of the food in a bag and left.

Ivan spotted the dog again three days later. The dog remained near the entrance as the man went up to his bottom for another portion of delights for the canine. The dog ate the food in the same manner as before.

The man afterwards decided to put all of the food in a bag and follow the dog. So they proceeded for about a kilometer, and the dog went to the shelter, while an elderly gentleman sat on the side of the road.

The dog presented the package to its owner, who divided the contents in half. He gave half of it to his long-time companion.

The canine’s, act touched Ivan veritably much, who helped its proprietor during the most delicate period in his life.

The trouble unfolded on Marco Island, where an 11-year-old Doberman Pinscher, Turbo, accidentally tumbled into the water, only to find the conduit’s tall siding made it impossible to crawl back out.

Fifteen hours later, Turbo was still treading water, which is pretty impressive for a dog of his age. But the scrappy senior couldn’t hold on for much longer.

Fortunately, Turbo was saved from drowning just in the nick of time. But first responders weren’t typical human crew. According to witnesses, passing dolphins had sensed the dog’s distress, and immediately started splashing around to draw help. The ruckus was loud enough to alert two tourists over half a mile away.

“We saw these two dolphins, and they were splashing and making this big commotion,” Audrey D’Alessandro told a local TV station. D’Alessandro called 911, and firefighters quickly arrived to pull the weary pooch out of the water.

Turbo — so tired at this point that he couldn’t even bark — clearly owes his life to this helpful dolphin pod. “He was shivering and in a lot of distress,” owner Cindy Burnett said.

Burnett had already searched this area multiple times after discovering Turbo had escaped his enclosure, but admitted she never thought to check inside the canal. “If he’d had to tread water all night long, I know he wouldn’t have been able to,” she said.

According to experts, dolphins are friendly, helpful creatures inclined to help other animals in need. Regardless, we’re so happy this compassionate pod came to Turbo’s rescue. They swam by just in the nick of time!
